Who Can Be Nominated?

Anyone at all. There are no rules about who deserves kindness. If someone in your life has touched your heart, we want to hear about them. Here are just a few examples of the kinds of nominations we are looking for — but please don't let this list limit you. If your story is heartfelt and genuine, it belongs here. Some examples:

"I nominate my neighbour Carol. She's 81 years old and lost her husband last spring. She still bakes bread for every family on our street and never complains about anything. She deserves to know people see her."

"I nominate my friend Dave. He works two jobs to support his three kids on his own and never misses one of their school events. He never asks for help but gives everything to everyone around him."

"I nominate my coworker Priya. She volunteers every weekend at a local shelter and is the first person to show up when anyone needs anything. She is the most quietly generous person I have ever met."

"I nominate my son Marcus. He has been going through a really hard year but never lets it show. He still shows up for our family every single day with a smile. He deserves something just for him."

"I nominate my mom. She raised four kids alone, worked night shifts so we could have everything we needed, and never once made us feel like we were missing out on anything."

"I nominate my friend Sam. They recently moved to Ottawa and don't have family nearby. They have built a whole new life from scratch with courage and kindness and they deserve to feel celebrated this Easter."

What you write can be as long as you want. Your person doesn't need to be a hero or have overcome tremendous hardship. They just need to matter to you, and you need to be able to tell us why in your own words.
